Next up on our dessert list is our Oreo Truffle Nail Polishes. I’ve gotta tell you, for a glamour party, it doesn’t get much better than these little novelty balls of heaven. This is a unique and mouthwatering recipe. For these babies, we make our decadent Oreo Truffles, dip them in different colored chocolate melts, and then affix a Tootsie Roll Vanilla Flavored Midgee on top to make them look like nail polishes. They are going to be a super cute addition to our dessert table for Sky’s 4th birthday party. So, let’s dive into this fun and exciting recipe that combines two of our favorite things: Oreos and some glamour!
One of the things I love about this recipe is that it only requires FOUR ingredients, which makes it an ideal dessert to make for any party. You will need a package of regular Oreos (DO NOT opt for the double stuffed Oreos for this recipe, as the additional filling in them will make your Oreo truffles too gooey). You will also need cream cheese, colored chocolate candy melts, and Tootsie Roll Vanilla Flavored Midgees. That’s it…crazy right?

To make your Oreo truffles, begin with preparing a baking sheet by lining it with parchment or wax paper and set it aside.
Next, in a food processor, fitted with a steel blade, process your entire package of Oreos until fine crumbs form. In a medium bowl, combine your Oreo crumbs with your softened cream cheese. Mix these together with a spatula or your hands until they are completely combined. Then, using your hands, roll your batter into 1-inch diameter balls and place them on your prepared baking sheet. Chill the balls in the freezer for 20 minutes or refrigerator them for 1 hour.

While your Oreo balls chill, remove your Tootsie Rolls from the individual papers and roll them in your hands or on your countertop to remove as many wrinkles from their surface as possible and then set them aside.
When you’re ready to dip your Oreo truffles in chocolate, empty your chocolate candy melts into a small sized bowl. Microwave it at 30 second intervals, stirring after each, until your chocolate is completely melted. Using a fork, dip each of your chilled Oreo truffles into the melted chocolate. Gently tap your truffle on the side of the bowl to remove any excess chocolate and set it back on your prepared baking sheet. Let the chocolate rest on your truffles for 30 seconds to firm up slightly prior to attaching your Tootsie Rolls.

When the chocolate is slightly firm, attach your Tootsie Rolls on top of each truffle in the center, pressing down gently to make sure they are completely secured (if the chocolate hardens prior to attaching your Tootsie Rolls, simply dip the end you of the Tootsie Roll you are going to affix to your truffle into a little bit of chocolate prior to attaching it). Once all your truffles are decorated with their “nail polish” Tootsie Roll tops, refrigerate them until they are ready to be served. This will help the chocolate set and ensure the truffles stay firm and delicious.
These Oreo Truffle Nail Polishes are not only a creative, decadent treat for your taste buds, they are also the perfect addition to Sky’s 4th birthday party, and would make fantastic party favors, gifts, or even a fun activity to enjoy with family and friends!
