If you’re sitting around right now wondering what you should take that Halloween party you’ve been invited to…stop wondering, because you should take my Candy Corn Rice Krispie® Treats! Seriously…you will be the hit of the party if you show up with these babies, and the best part about them (aside from being delicious) is that you can throw them together in less than 15 minutes! These are the perfect novelty rendition of the childhood snack we all know and love!
Okay, yes…I do know that it is January, but I put out A LOT of videos on our You Tube channel just before the holidays in 2022 and I honestly was unable to make time to write the corresponding blogs for them with all of the holiday festivities we had in our schedules this year. Please forgive me! I will, however, say that it’s never too soon to start planning for next year–I don’t mean to rush it, but I’m sure you all know that it will be here before you know it, and when you see just how easy it is to make these adorable treats, I promise you these will be on your mind when October rolls around!

So, let’s jump right into the ingredients. To make these treats, you will need miniature marshmallows, salted butter, Himalayan pink salt, yellow food coloring, orange food coloring, and Rice Krispies® cereal.
Begin by preparing a 9-inch springform pan by spraying the sides with non-stick cooking spray and placing a parchment paper round in the bottom; set aside.
Yellow Ring: In a large bowl, combine your marshmallows, butter and a pinch of Himalayan pink salt. Microwave on high for 30 second bursts until your marshmallows puff up and melt; about 3 minutes. Remove your mixture from the microwave and mix your melted marshmallows and butter thoroughly. Add in your desired amount of yellow food coloring and mix until it’s completely combined. Stir in your Rice Krispies® cereal until it’s coated entirely with your marshmallow mixture and your entire mixture is uniformly yellow. Empty into your prepared springform pan. Wet your hands slightly and use them to form a ring around the outer edge of pan about 2 inches wide around.

Orange Ring: In a medium bowl, combine your marshmallows, butter and a pinch of Himalayan pink salt. Microwave on high for 30 second bursts until your marshmallows puff up and melt; about 2 minutes. Remove your mixture from the microwave and mix your melted marshmallows and butter thoroughly. Add in your desired amount of orange food coloring and mix until it’s completely combined. Stir in your Rice Krispies® cereal until it’s coated entirely with your marshmallow mixture and your entire mixture is uniformly orange. Empty into the middle of your prepared springform pan. Wet your hands slightly and use them to form a ring up against the yellow ring about 2 inches wide around.
White Center: In a small bowl, combine your marshmallows, butter and a pinch of Himalayan pink salt. Microwave on high for 30 second bursts until your marshmallows puff up and melt; about 1 ½ minutes. Remove your mixture from the microwave and mix your melted marshmallows and butter thoroughly. Do not color this mixture with any food coloring, as it should remain its natural color. Stir in your Rice Krispies® cereal until it’s coated entirely with your marshmallow mixture. Empty into the middle of your prepared springform pan. Wet your hands slightly and use them to press your mixture into the remaining opening in center of your pan.

Using the heel of your hand, press your Krispie treats firmly into the bottom of your pan to level them out completely, forming one cohesive round. Set ii aside to rest and firm up for about 30 minutes. When firm, remove your Krispie treat round to a cutting board. Cut the round into 8 equal pie-shaped pieces. Store in airtight container with wax paper between layers.
Please note that it is important to mold each mixture in your springform pan quickly, as they will become more difficult to manipulate as they cool.
I hope you and your family enjoy these Candy Corn Rice Krispie® Treats as much as mine does!
